Gorilla Glue is an indica dominant hybrid with a lineage of Chem Sister and Sour Dubb. According to cannabis breeder legend, the Gorilla Glue strain came into existence almost by accident – as some growing Chem Sis plants turned into hermaphrodites and were pollinated by some nearby Sour Dubb. Instead of throwing the seeds away, the breeders kept them, the result being the Gorilla Glue strain. Gorilla Glue won first place in both the Michigan and Los Angeles 2014 Cannabis Cups.

After winning two Cannabis Cups, Gorilla Glue has taken its place amongst the most heavy-hitting varieties of flowers. At upwards of 25% THC, Gorilla Glue has gained a lot of popularity for being one of the most potent strains of cannabis out there. Also being one of the stickiest strains on the legal cannabis market today, Gorilla Glue lives up to its name.

Appearance/ Taste/ Aroma

Gorilla Glue flowers are light green, chunky and tightly packed with a high calyx to leaf ratio. The buds from true Gorilla Glue are completely covered in trichomes. The aroma of intact buds is earthy, with a little sour, a little sweet, and a little citrus. Be sure to put on rubber gloves when breaking up these buds, or your hands will definitely stick to everything you touch. The scent of sweet and citrus really comes through when put through a grinder. Users report a bit more diesel flavor on the taste buds when ingested, a hint of piney and mint chocolate aftertaste. Some users report creamy mocha flavors after ingesting this strain. As with any strain, it is dependent on the grow cycle, drying and curing process that growers and other professionals employ with the strain.

Medicating Effect

Users report the effect from the Gorilla Glue strain to be slightly euphoric with a clear head, leaving a relaxing and pain relieving sensation on the body. Other users report a bit of a heavy-handed euphoria and intense relaxation, feeling glued to their couch. This potent strain is one that newbies should probably stay away from, as paranoia can sink in.

Gorilla Glue is a great choice for those experienced medical patients in need of treatment for anxiety, PTSD, stress relief and managing arthritis or chronic back pain. With its hunger-inducing qualities, this strain is great in low doses for those in need of appetite stimulation.

We want to hear what you think! Have you had a chance to try the Gorilla Glue strain? Is it your favorite strain? If not, what is?
