Last month three new studies in support of the hemp plant and CBD (along with two other compounds, CBG and CBN) were published and shared at The International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS) conference, one of the world’s largest and most prestigious events in cannabis. The studies by CBD American Shaman discussed the efficacy of CBD, CBN, and/or CBG in relation to providing relief and assistance for those with chronic conditions as well as the safety of CBD consumption.

As the Founder and President of CBD American Shaman, it’s an honor to be at the forefront of research in support of CBD and hemp. We believe wholeheartedly in science and all that the hemp plant has to offer, and we want to continue pushing the boundaries of research-backed exploration of the hemp plant.

Each study analyzed different aspects of CBD, CBN, and/or CBG. The first study, titled, “Use of a Water-Soluble Form of Cannabinol for the Treatment of Sleeplessness,” analyzed the use of nano-treated water-soluble CBN, a compound of the hemp plant taken at a specific life stage, and its effect on sleeplessness. The study found that CBN significantly improved both the length and quality of sleep.

While the second study, titled, “Nano Processed CBG/CBD: Effect on Pain, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and Chronic Fatigue,” analyzed how a solution combining 5mg/ml CBD and 15mg/ml CBG improved chronic conditions for some individuals. The results indicated the CBG/CBD solution helped those suffering from pain and IBS symptoms, improved thinking and attention levels for those with ADHD, and improved energy levels for those with chronic fatigue.

The third and final study, titled, “Observed Impact of Long-Term Consumption of Oral Cannabidoil on Liver Function of Healthy Adults,” analyzed how CBD impacts liver function with consumption. The study results found that CBD did not elevate liver function tests and did not lead to liver failure, making it safe for consumption.

These studies also compared nano-treated CBD with non-nano-treated CBD, and it’s very clear nano-treated CBD goes the extra mile. The studies demonstrated how little of the nano-treated CBD is actually needed to be effective and support the primary purpose for consumption.

Not only is it exciting as an entrepreneur in the industry to see these kinds of results, but I believe it should also be exciting for consumers. We’re just touching the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what the hemp plant has to offer. New extraction methods will allow us to dive deeper into hemp for therapeutic purposes, which ultimately enables us to help more people feel better – and that’s always been the real goal for us.
