We’ve all seen the funny memes: Get paid x amount of dollars simply for smoking weed…for research purposes, no less! So, naturally, when you see a story about making $3,000 a month for smoking weed, you’re skeptical. Well, all I can say is that these people say they are for real and go into a lot of details when it comes to what the job will entail and how someone can apply.

An outfit called American Marijuana is offering “up to $3,000” a month for someone to unbox, consume, review and make videos about marijuana products. They say they are “looking for someone to review a wide variety of cannabis products to give our readers…honest and reliable insights on various cannabis products.”

You have to live in a state where at least medical marijuana is legal – or Canada – and be able to bring “extensive knowledge of marijuana to educate our readers.” In other words, you have to be able to produce regular content – both written and in video form – to educate others on the uses and capabilities of the products American Marijuana sends you.

These are things a lot of people do on blogs and Youtube for free, so to have the opportunity to get paid a decent amount of money for it is a cannabis content creator’s dream.

As of this writing, I have seen this job offer in several publications, and it’s likely to get even more coverage in the coming days. If this is something you think you have a shot at, I’d get moving. There is likely to be a lot of competition before December 4th, the closing date for the offer.

Those who consumed cannabis before the age of legalization often joked about someday “getting paid to smoke weed.” It was funny because cannabis was illegal and it was a ridiculous notion. Now here we are, in a world where there is value to consuming marijuana legally and telling other people about it.

For those wondering if I will be throwing my hat in the ring to be chosen for this historic opportunity, unfortunately, I do not live in a state with a decent medical marijuana program. Besides, my days are pretty full with writing for The Marijuana Times and doing three different video shows.

But for many of the rest of you, this is the chance you have been waiting for to make at least one of your dreams come true!
